The Piggott School

A Church of England Academy

Church Foundation

Church Foundation

The Piggott School is a school with a Church Foundation. This reflects the School's history and the involvement of The Church of England in the education of young people in their communities; it does not mean our pupils or their families have to have a Christian faith, or any religious faith. But everyone is expected to respect the teachings of the Christian faith.

Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS) Report

A SIAS inspection of The Piggott School took place in January 2011.The outcome was a resounding ‘outstanding’, reflecting upon the work of all staff and the students, to promote Christian values and support spiritual development.

Church School Award

Having been judged South East England Regional Winners in the 2011 Church School Award we submitted a further application for the 2012 Award.  Once again we were ‘long-listed’ for this prestigious prize and achieved Certificate recognition.

The Church School Awards was launched in September 2010, open to all Church Schools, promoting their vital work done in the areas of community cohesion and global citizenship. The Award is an opportunity to celebrate the unique and vital work that students, teachers, governors and staff in Church Schools do for their local communities, for our country and throughout the world.
