The criminal case regarding third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, ex-minister of agriculture Sergo Karapetyan, owner of Flash LLC Barsegh Beglaryan, ex-deputy minister of agriculture Samvel Galstyan and ex-head of the Department of Crop Production of the Ministry of Agriculture Gevorg Harutyunyan has been inscribed to Judge Vahe Misakyan of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction, as reported the Judicial Department.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office had reported that the indictment was confirmed and the case had been forwarded to the court. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, preliminary investigation of the criminal case was over on January 10. A couple of days later, the Special Investigation Service reported that the case had been delivered to the overseeing prosecutor along with the indictment, with a motion to forward the case to the court.

There are five persons who are charged under the case, and four of them, including Serzh Sargsyan, Barsegh Beglaryan, Samvel Galstyan and Gevorg Harutyunyan, are charged with organizing, inciting and supporting embezzlement and squander, while ex-minister of agriculture Sergo Karapetyan is charged with embezzlement or squander in particularly large amounts.
