NG:Dev.Team, the same independent, German crew that released Last Hope for Neo Geo AES/CD consoles several years ago (with a Dreamcast port shipped in 2007), has another shoot'em up project, this time for the Neo Geo MVS (Multi Video System) arcade machines.

Designed with an emphasis on scoring, Fast Striker features six stages, three game modes with different scoring systems, over 40 enemies, more than six bosses, 3D scrolling CGI backgrounds, a difficulty rank system, and online ranking via codes. It's designed to run at a constant 60 FPS and display up to 180 enemy bullets on the screen simultaneously.

The developer brags that with all those features and a soundtrack with more than 25 minutes of full digitized stereo music, its game features "the biggest Megabit count ever since the beginning of Neo Geo games." Fast Striker also supports software updates through a USB port and copy protection via Particle Streaming Chip.

NG:Dev.Team expects to release the game in the third quarter of 2010. You can learn more about Fast Striker and see screenshots for the vertical scrolling shoot'em up at the title's official site.
