“The Descendants” was named the best film of 2011 by the Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association, according to the results of its 18th annual critics’ poll. It dominated their picks for the year, netting Best Actor for star George Clooney, Best Supporting Actress for newcomer Shailene Woodley, Best Director for Alexander Payne and Best Screenplay.
The Association consists of 20 broadcast, print and online journalists from throughout North Texas.
