Elected Officials

The City Council is comprised of four members elected at large for four years and the Mayor, elected at large for two years. The Mayor Pro Tem is elected directly by the City Council from among its members. The Mayor is the presiding officer at council meetings, with the Mayor Pro Tem filling that role in the Mayor's absence. The City Council also serves as Board Members to the Community Development Commission, Housing Authority and Financing Authority.
 
The terms of office are staggered, with two members elected at one general municipal election and two at the next. Elections are held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even-numbered years. The next election with be November 3, 2020..
