Lucas Till Returns For 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past,' Peter Dinklage's Role Revealed & More

Let’s say you’re making a comic book sequel, and let’s you already have this cast: Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore and James Marsden. Do you add even more actors or do you think, “Y’know, maybe I’m good right here.” Well, Bryan Singer was recently faced with this dilemma and made a choice. Can you guess which way he went?

The already swollen cast of “X-Men: Days Of Future Past” continues to become “The Butler” of comic book movies, with yet another actor on board for what we can only guess will be five seconds of screentime. Okay, maybe ten. Lucas Till will reprise his role as Havoc/Alex Summers in the movie, with Singer tweeting out the teaser pic below. What does that military backdrop mean? We’ll let the comic experts sort that out but ‘Future Past’ is either going a bloated cameo-fest, or proof that movies can stuff themselves with heroes and still come out okay.

Meanwhile, some of the roles kept secret in the movie until now are starting to be revealed. According to Vulture, Dinklage will be playing Bolivar Trask, the man responsible for creating the Sentinels, while the recently cast Josh Helman is playing a young Bill Stryker. All of this was supposed to be unveiled at Comic-Con but “leaked” early, and something tells us Singer will have much more up his sleeve in San Diego to show off to fans. Our guess is that we’re going to get a better idea of the plot very soon and some early footage might be shown but we’ll see how it goes down and hey, maybe they’ll have crammed a few more faces in there by then.

“X-Men: Days Of Future Past” becomes a geek wet dream on May 23, 2014.
