Owner and Principal Pharmacist, Shane Howard, is a third generation pharmacist with his father and grandfather pharmacist before him.The Kilrush native – who has lived in Galway for the past 15 years – studied Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin and worked in Leo Laboratories and Elan Pharmaceuticals before founding Howard’s Pharmacy 10 years ago. Shane is also a registered pharmacist in Australia, having worked in Melbourne and specialising in extemporaneous dispensing there. Now Shane sees community pharmacy as his top priority, with particular interest in Patient Counselling, Patient Medication Reviews, Monitored Dosage Systems (Blister Packs) and Flu-Vaccination.
