Ex MLA Late N. G. Alias Babuji Avhad Founder President

In 1965, MLA N.G. alias Babuji Avhad established Parth Vidya Prasarak Mandal. Babuji was a freedom fighter and MLA for the period of 1957 – 1967. He established the college which served the population deprived of higher education The main objective of the college was to give opportunity of education to the rural and poor people mainly to the wards of those who migrate seasonally to sugar factories in all parts of Maharashtra. In 2001 the college was renamed “Babuji Avhad Mahavidyalaya” to express the gratitude and honour to Babuji. In January 2012, the college was awarded ‘A’ grade by the NAAC.

The efforts of the college to bring the positive change in the lives of the population around are supported by the efficient management under the leadership of Hon. Abhay Avhad, President, Parth Vidya Prasarak Mandal, the qualified and labourious staff and the educational and cooperative environment on the campus.

This vision of providing educational facilities is reflected in the practices of the college. The college arranges curricular and extracurricular activities to provide basic education of the students. Area around Pathardi is rural population belonging to backward classes, especially Nomadic Tribes, seasonally migrating to sugar factories. These students are in need of earning livelihood jobs which can be achieved by graduating in Arts and Commerce faculties. Basically, they prefer police and armed forces, teaching profession and civil and banking services to some extent. The selection of specialization and general / core subjects is based on the needs of people whom we are dealing with. The mission and the objectives of the college are in relation with the national educational policy. The college follows the rules of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Government of Maharashtra and UGC. The college implements reservation policies and rules and regulations regarding the admission of students.

OUR MISSION

The institution’s objectives stress on quality of higher education, fair and indiscriminate education, sense of discipline, dignity of labor, to serve the needful, development of leadership qualities and democratic values, create social and civic responsibilities and improve the quality of life.

It also strives to enable the students to develop linguistic competence, inculcate the traditions, democratic values, social and civic responsibilities, leadership qualities; Environmental Awareness etc. The college promotes the practices which provide value based education.

महाराष्ट्र शासनाच्या निर्णयानुसार महाविद्यालयाचे नियमित वर्ग १५ फेब्रु २०२१ पासून ५०% क्षमतेसह सुरू होतील, याची सर्वांनी नोंद घ्यावी.

महाविद्यालयातील उपस्थितीबाबत

दि १५ फेब्रु २०२१ पासून महाविद्यालयात येणार्‍या विद्यार्थ्यांनी कोविड १९ बाबत सर्व नियमांचे पालन करावे . मास्क वापरणे व सुरक्षित अंतर राखणे सर्वांना बंधनकारक आहे.

सर्व शिष्यवृत्ती धारक विद्यार्थ्यांनी ऑनलाइन शिष्यवृत्ती अर्ज भरून योग्य त्या कागदपत्रासहीत कार्यालयात सादर करावेत.

एम ए भाग १ व २ च्या विद्यार्थ्यानी सेमिस्टर १ व ३ चे परीक्षा फॉर्म ऑनलाइन भरून कार्यालयात योग्य शुल्कासहित तत्काळ जमा करावेत.

आपल्या महाविद्यालयास NAAC समिति २२ सी २३ फेब्रु २०२१ रोजी भेट देत आहे. सर्व विद्यार्थी, पालक व माजी विद्यार्थ्यांनी भेटीवेळी बैठकीसाठी उपस्थित राहावे.

REOPENING OF COLLEGE

As per guidelines issued by Govt of Maharashtra, regular classes will commence from 15 February 2021 with 50% student strength. Students need to submit declaration to attend regular classes.
