Catalogue Note

This Salvator Mundi follows a model of Leonardo da Vinci's invention, the prime version of which was discovered only recently and exhibited at the National Gallery, London, in 2013.1  The composition was replicated by artists such as Marco d'Oggiono and Andrea Previtali and became popular throughout Italy.
