Vijay Sethupathi’s role has a dark side in Tughlaq Darbar

Vijay Sethupathi’s role has a dark side in Tughlaq Darbar
The first look of Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Tughlaq Darbar was released yesterday evening. The actor plays a politician in the fantasy drama, directed by debutant Delhi Prasad Deenadayal. The poster has piqued the curiosity of the audience, and Delhi Prasad says, “The poster tells a story. There are a few hidden elements in the poster making it more than just a political drama.”

We hear that Vijay will be having a unique body language in the film, and the director says, “I can’t reveal much but there is a specific body language to Vijay’s character and it’s pivotal in taking the story forward. Though he got trained to perfect it, he pulled it off quite effortlessly. There is a dark side to his role as well.”

The director says that the team has finished shooting 50% of the film. “We could complete major portions of the film before the lockdown. Manjima Mohan, Parthiban and Karunakaran shot their portions in the first schedule itself. Scenes involving crowds were also done. But Aditi Rao Hydari is yet to film her portions. Bagavathi Perumal’s (Bucks) role will be an interesting one

with a negative shade. Though we completed shooting many scenes in Godhamedu in Saidapet, we were planning to shoot the rest of the portions outside Chennai. But now, owing to the current situation, we have decided to complete the rest of the shoot in the city,” he says.
