Venu Udugula’s naxal drama ‘Virata Parvam’, starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in lead roles is one of the most-awaited films.

Reports now state that shoot for the film has resumed in a forest in Kerala, where some crucial shots are being canned. Rana Daggubati had previously unveiled the first-look of the film which is backed by Suresh Productions and Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas. There’s also buzz that Stefan Richter of ‘Saaho’, ‘Uri’ and ‘1: Nenokkadine’ fame has been roped in for the film. Dani Sanchez-Lopez will be wielding the camera, say reports.


‘Virata Parvam’ is touted to be a multilingual project which will release in Telugu and Tamil both. Another film of Rana’s that is slated for release is ‘Hathi Mere Sathi’. Recently there were reports that Rana has dropped out of ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ due to health issues ‘that he might take a couple of months to recover from’ and is replaced by Sharad Kelkar. Further details are awaited.
