After months of dedicated work by our crew, the EMPYREAN Temple build in Santa Rosa was completed in early February 2021 . It now stands as a beacon of inspiration and hope for a changing world.

The EMPYREAN Temple Santa Rosa build is a proof-of-concept project which comprises two of the eight Canopies, or star blades, that will make up the full-scale EMPYREAN Temple for the the next official Burning Man Event. EMPYREAN is located on a picturesque hillside in the Paradise Ridge Winery (www.prwinery.com) outdoor sculpture garden in Santa Rosa, California. Our hosts, the the Byck family, owners of the winery, granted us this build space as a community gesture.

The Site and Visitation

The Temple is situated on private property, however, it is open and free to the public on a simple walk-in basis. Please visit the winery’s web site for their hours of operation, which is generally 7 days a week

Temple Offerings

Wood pieces for writing Temple offerings, and a chest to hold them, are available at the site. These offerings will be cared for until they can be carried to the Temple when it rises at Black Rock City.

The EMPYREAN Temple Project Going Forward

The Temple means different things to different people, from the quietly appreciative to those who find it transformational. Team EMPYREAN are the builders of an empty vessel for the people of Black Rock City. EMPYREAN will become a living part of the Burning Man culture when BRC emerges from the desert in 2022.

Peace; the Crew
