Samajwadi Party (SP) has fielded Nadira Sultan alias Bitiya, daughter of former MP Musheer Ahmed, from Patiali assembly constituency in Kasganj district. The name of Nadira Sultan was announced on Friday. Nadira has a close relationship with the family of former minister Azam Khan, a strong SP leader.
Nadira had contested the 2007 election from Patiali Vidhan Sabha on a Congress ticket and stood third by securing 19203 votes. There is an atmosphere of happiness among his supporters due to the nomination of Nadira. Samajwadi Party’s district president Kunwar Devendra Singh Yadav told that the party will contest the elections with full strength.
