In recent years, Ty Dolla $ign has become a staple in Kanye West’s arsenal of highly touted collaborators whenever it comes time to lock in for a project. After notching placements on Pablo‘s “Real Friends” and “Fade,” Ty appeared on three out of the seven songs on Yeezy’s new ye album. With possibly more collaborations in the stash, both Kanye and the Beach House 3 artist teased the idea of joining forces for a project in the future.
Kanye spoke with Power 106’s The Cruz Show for a concise interview after his album listening experience in Wyoming late Thursday night (May 31). “That’s one of the best combinations ever. Yeah, definitely. I’m just trying to go week after week and improve on the craft,” the 40-year-old said regarding a potential joint album with Ty Dolla $ign. “Ty is one of the strongest artists we have living and anything I can do to support, get around, produce, take my hands and chop up I’m with it.”
The multi-talented California native seems to be interested in the idea as he reposted the clip to Instagram on Sunday. “U ready?” he captioned. Later in the same interview with The Cruz Show, West hinted at possibly releasing more music down the line following the releases of Nas and Teyana Taylor‘s albums later this month.
“We got Nas, then we got Teyana and we might got some more in the stash, we been chopping. We’re two down with two classics down if I do say so myself,” Yeezy boastfully quipped.
