Oct 24, 2011Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a game with a lot of promise, but the execution frequently falls short of expectations.
-
Oct 24, 2011A frustrating game that I can't recommend. It's a shame, too, since I like the Gryptonite games and, based on Dark Void Zero, I had a lot of hope for Other Ocean's take on the formula. The game looks okay and there's voicework in the narration, but the game itself is pretty weak. There are good ideas here, but they're just not well implemented.

Nov 10, 2011We do not want to sanctify the work of Griptonite Games (in recent times, they were able to pull off stuff like Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters, one of the ugliest games ever for Wii), but there's a huge quality gap from last year's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. That's a great disappointment, even for the fans of the character.

Oct 20, 2011Getting back on track, I really can't recommend Spider-Man Edge of Time on the DS to anyone. The gameplay is extremely basic, the story is neutered, the graphics are a dull mess, the map system is broken, and the game's level design can't hold a candle to the games it is trying to emulate.
