FOX affiliate pulls 'Married By America'

WRAZ-TV Raleigh has pulled 'Married By America' because it "demeans and exploits the institution of marriage."

WRAZ-TV, the FOX affiliate in the Raleigh/Durham metro area, has pulled future broadcasts of the network's reality show Married By America due to what it says is "content that demeans and exploits the institution of marriage." The Raleigh-Durham-Cary-Chapel Hill area is the 29th largest TV market in the USA.

In a statement, WRAZ-TV/FOX-50 said that it had expressed "serious concerns" to the network when the show's concept was first unveiled. After the second episode aired on March 5, WRAZ decided that "the program did not reflect prevailing standards of good taste and that the show was clearly demeaning to the institution of marriage."

The station also refused to air Who Wants To Marry A Multi-Millionaire? in 2000, along with an episode of Temptation Island.
