U18 Mega Mozzart Belgrade became the 11th club to win the EuroLeague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament title by knocking off U18 Next Generation Select Team 82-61 (13-17, 19-22, 25-12, 25-10) in the 2022 ANGT Championship Game.

It was third time lucky for the Serbian team, which had lost in the final in 2017 and 2019 but gained control of the game in the Hala Sportova Ranko Zeravica with a 14-0 fourth-quarter run.

In the annuls of ANGT history, Mega joins other champions U18 Real Madrid, U18 CSKA Moscow (both three crowns), U18 Zalgiris Kaunas, U18 FMP Belgrade, U18 PFYM INSEP Paris, U18 Rytas Vilnius (all two), U18 FC Barcelona, U18 Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, U18 KK Zagreb, and U18 Joventut Badalona.

The tournament finale attracted the attention of many familiar basketball faces, including Ivica Zubac, Jordi Bertomeu, Nikos Zisis, Theo Papaloukas, Misko Raznatovic, and Ramunas Siskauskas.

Olympiacos fans were also in the stands, as they supported Vassilis Spanoulis, the head coach of the Next Generation Select Team.

The winners were led by Bassala Bagayoko. The 15-year-old Mali center finished the duel with a double-double, accumulating 16 points (7/9 2PT, 2/2 FT), 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 4 turnovers, and a game-high 28 PIR.

Mega Mozzart: Nikola Djurisic 21 (7 TO), Andrija Jelavic 19, Bassala Bagayoko 16 (11 REB).

Next Generation Select Team: Filip Jovic 11 (6 REB), Zacharie Perrin 11 (9 REB), Alexandros Samontourov 9.
