Yesterday evening russian propaganda started spreading fake news about the rise of radiation on the sensor in Khmelnytskyi. We've checked these measurements and on nearby sensors – all the values do not exceed the natural levels. The radiation situation in Ukraine is normal.

We’ve just added one more radiation data source to our system: website of – daily measurements on industrial sites of Ukrainian NPPs. Still no online data but more transparency about the radiation situation in Ukraine. And, yes, there is data from Zaporizhzhia NPP.

New online data source of gamma radiation in our system is now available. Five sensors were installed many years ago by the local authority in Pokrov of the Dnipropetrovsk region, just 40 km from Zaporizhzhia NPP: more data – clearer picture of the radiation situation in Ukraine.

All the data in my system is public data. And it is essential to keep it as open as possible. My developer gave a short explanation at . PS. A small part of information we are taking from public sources that are not easy to find. But we are providing everything publicly.

The radiation situation in Ukraine is normal. But the situation with the official monitoring is not great. Three days ago stopped working update of the measurements on Chornobyl NPP website, the data is shown, but it’s not changing. What’s the reason? Nobody knows.

And the last, the funniest news: the data from the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant automated radiation monitoring system appeared again on the website. Why is it funny? Because all websites of NPPs in Ukraine are not working. But that one accidentally became online.

But there are also good news. Main Center of Special Monitoring of State Space Agency of Ukraine () started publishing background radiation data again! All the archives are also available. That’s six sensors around Ukraine, with the measurements every three hours.

1/ Four years ago, @SaveEcoBot was created: chatbot in @Viber, @telegram, and @messenger with primarily all environmental legal data in @Ukraine, air quality and radiation maps with biggest amount of sources, analytics, instruments for personal protection, API. How we started?

Iryna Chernysh, head of our NGO, gave comments for a great article about environmental issues in wartime in Ukraine, and of course, she mentioned our radiation map and other features. Must have in the reading list.

A fresh new data is coming, old data, but it maybe very interesting for researchers. We will soon create an option to download all these archives for anyone in CSV format.

Just finished importing more than 1.6 million background radiation measurement points to the @SaveEcoBot from the sensors installed near Ukrainian nuclear power plants and in the #Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Some measurements are from the 2014! Huge field for research. #OpenData

Let me remind you that the official reason for the excesses: “In this consideration the estimated reason of the indicated increasing of the dose rate could be the partial disturbance of the upper ground level due to the movement of significant amount of heavy military machines.”

The station is installed next to the Intermediate storage of spent nuclear fuel "dry" type (SVYaP). On February 25, 2022, there was an excess of the expected level more than 34 times. This monitoring station did not work, as well as 24 more, which had excesses.
