DJ Diesel and Hairitage are back with some collaborative neck-breaking action on "Bang Your Head."

The new track has been in the tank for at least 18 months, but despite the wait, it remains as fresh as when it was first previewed. Shaq debuted the song last year during a DJ Diesel performance in San Marcos, where he brought out Hairitage, one of the brightest producers in today's bass music scene, as a special guest and immediately stirred up a buzz.

"Bang Your Head" surges to life to the menacing bounce of brass-based synths. Diesel's booming vocals tee up the track's larger-than-life basslines as the artists scorch the sonic spectrum at full throttle. The NBA Hall of Famer has delivered on several head-banger anthems in recent memory, and his latest once again packs the type of punch to shatter backboards.

A surefire festival thriller in the making, "BANG YOUR HEAD" is the first single off Diesel's upcoming album on Monstercat. Take a listen below.

Listen to Mystic State's Dreamlike Deep Dub EP, "The Last Lotus"

The Bristol-based production duo released their new EP on Deep Dark & Dangerous.

"'Bang Your Head' is my first single off my new album that will be dropping with Monstercat. I am so excited to be working with them and to be releasing multiple singles leading into the album starting with this one," Diesel said in a press release. "Hairitage and I have been working on 'Bang Your Head' for over a year now. Aaron would come out to my shows just so we could work on it in the green room or in the car and make this a banger. This record goes HARD and makes you want to bang your head... so do it."

"Collaborating with the legendary Shaq on our latest track 'Bang Your Head' has been an awesome journey," added Hairitage. "It's been two years in the making, and the creativity that went into this collaboration has been off the charts. Shaq's passion for music is unmatched, and his larger-than-life personality made this project so much fun to work on."

Ahead of the new album, which does not yet have a release date, read our intimate interview with Shaq, who said EDM "revitalized a sense of urgency and passion" in him.
