I hope they do something about it because there's already over 5k posts tagged novelAI and it's reducing visibility of the actual artists on the site. 3DCGs are usually low quality as well but they're nowhere near as common as AI posts because they still take some effort to make.

I like AI image gen with how flexible it is and getting what you want, but with how quickly they pile up on websites and a lack of both standards and moderation means hand drawn art gets drowned out. Sometimes they're indistinguishable from real art if you don't know what to look for, which can be disappointing when you learn an image you liked is AI generated and there is no artist who you can find more art from of that character or style. It is the instant ramen of art, not something to really be proud of or worthy of posting alongside handmade art.

I don't play gachas at all but I'll still read the doujins, some of them are pretty good still. I'm not sure I'd say that good non gacha kitsune doujins are rare, though. I was reading through all of the doujins with the fox girl tag at one point and rating them to see which ones were worth translating, but my Japanese still has a good ways to go before I'm ready so that's on hiatus for now. On a 1-5 scale, I rated 21/125 a 4 or 5, and I would estimate there's probably a total of about 1000 or so once you account for all the translations and re releases (i.e. digital, uncensors). The quality will probably go up the further I go, as I'm reading oldest to newest. Once I finish the list I plan to release it, or at the very least do an effortpost of all the doujins I found to be good.

I ended up finding a Shinano character card for Koikatsu, and the guy also made one for Musashi. They're really well made and have a bunch of outfits. One thing that's annoying about them is that a lot of the outfits don't have the tails enabled so you have to add them in through the character creator but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Also as expected from a 3d game the tails will have clipping issues at times especially when she's laying on her back. There's a bit of a headcanon I have regarding fox girls.
Eastern ones (Inari, Youko, Kitsune) have more of a magical aptitude that's common amongst them. They are better spellcasters and can easily change their form to hide among humans.

I have been messing around in Paint for about 2 years now, but I only started replacing Japanese text with translated English text about a week ago.
I saw that the artist of these pictures had a lot of these pictures translated on Danbooru, but the English text was only visible in note overlays while the image itself still contained the original Japanese text. I liked a lot of these pictures and wanted to have an English translated copy, so I decided to make my own.

I did not have any plans to upload these images elsewhere since I am doing this for fun. I know e-hentai would be good, or a booru like danbooru/gelbooru but I'm not sure what their policies are on typeset content. Maybe the other guy that works on scanlation here would have a better suggestion.

Looks like you have a bit work ahead of you. That would be pretty hard for me since I only speak English and would be relying on machine translators for all of it.

I wasn't great at German when I did it in high school either, but I've studied Japanese on my own for almost 2 years for the sole purpose of being able to translate/understand fox girl content and I'm in a pretty decent place. I still have a far way to go before I'm fluent, but I can usually get a good understanding of what I'm reading and know when a machine translator is getting things wrong. If you need me to make a guide, just ask. It's not about having a talent for language, it's about putting in the time every day to maintain your existing knowledge and progress even further from that.

I do appreciate the recommendation and I like the character and her design, but after reading a synopsis of the series I don't think I would enjoy it (I am tired of RPG/MMO in another world animes).
I did read Sewayaki Kitsune No Senko-San, but I ended up dropping it for the same reason as >>160758 said. I also gave the first 3 episodes of Kanokon a shot after seeing >>162410, but it didn't click with me either and I ended up watching a fan-service compilation of the anime instead (also the fox girl in Kanokon shows up less than I thought).
Other than those series, I can't think of anything offhand that has fox girls in them that has came out in the last few years other than gatcha spinoffs.

I wonder if it is because studios don't want to spend the money to animate the ears and tails. It would be interesting to see a cost analysis and see if tails and ears can break an animation budget.

Spice and wolf got 2 seasons, and might be getting another (or just a remake). I think the problem is the same that most monster girls in general face. You have to justify putting a non human girl in somehow, and in many cases that means making the story revolve around those circumstances (i.e. monster musume's exchange program, holo being a goddess that wants to return to her home town, etc.). You can't just have a standard anime about high school life and make it so that one of the characters happens to be a monster girl, it's out of place.
