Labour Candidate Swears “Lunatic Muslims” Won’t Disrupt Election Prospects mdi-fullscreen
Rajesh Agrawal, Labour PPC for Leicester East, has it seems been ruminating on how to harness the Muslim vote in the election without the usual trouble from pro-Palestine harassers and stirring up from Galloway. Agrawal was a Deputy Mayor of London for seven years as well as being chairman of Labour Friends of India until December. He has some interesting views on parts of his local Muslim community…

Agrawal tells a colleague that he plans on outplaying George Galloway by courting “influential local Muslims” while when it comes to the “lunatic” ones: “If they want to remain in this country, then they will play ball.” He claims his friend Keith Vaz will sort it. Has Jim Keith given up on his new independent Leicester party?

UPDATE:

A Labour spokesperson gets in touch to say they have conducted a “thorough investigation” into Agrawal’s comments, which he denied, concluding the messages were fabricated. Rajesh Agrawal saya: “These messages are fake and have been fabricated to make it look like I sent them.”
