Man waylaid, hacked to death
DH News Service Bangalore:

An autorickshaw driver was hacked to death by a four-member gang near Nagarathnapura in Hebbagudi on Wednesday night.

According to police, the gang waylaid Kumar alias Shiva Kumar (25), an autorickshaw driver who was riding a motorcycle along with his friend Manjunath and attacked him with lethal weapons. Manjunath who fled the scene informed Kumar’s parents, police said. They found Kumar murdered with stab injuries in his chest and abdomen.

Kumar’s parents in a police complaint have accused one Venkatesh and three others of the murder. Police suspect gang rivalry to be the cause of the crime.

Man gets life imprisonment

The IV fast track sessions court has sentenced a man who had murdered his wife, to life imprisonment on Tuesday.

Perumal, (30), of T Dasarahalli had murdered his wife Uma (26), by dousing her with kerosene and setting her ablaze. The victim who was admitted to hospital with severe burn injuries died. The T Dasarahalli police had arrested Perumal and filed a chargesheet against him.
