2007-2008 Season Summary

Entering their 20th season, Adonal and the Orlando Magic are coming one off one of their best campaigns in franchise history. The Magic won 50 games for the first time since the 1995-96 season. After going 52-30, winning the Southeast Division and making the Eastern Conference semifinals, the team will look to try to take that extra step and try to reach the East finals. After playing his first 10 seasons at Golden State, it didn't take long for Adonal to adjust to his new teammates and surrounding. In his first season with the Magic, Adonal played all 82 games for the first time since the 2002-03 season. He proved to be a valuable asset for superstar Dwight Howard and was able to spell the All-Star whenever he needed a rest or was in foul trouble. It wasn't a coincidence that Dwight had his best season as a pro under Adonal's tutelage.

2006-2007 Season Summary

Adonal entered the season as the third longest-tenured player to play on the same team (next to Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, Los Angeles' Kobe Bryant and San Antonio's Tim Duncan). With coach Don Nelson back for a second stint with the Warriors - installing an uptempo run-and-gun offense, Adonal appeared in just 48 games but managed to shoot a career-high .565 percent from the field. Adonal, who also entered the season as the active leader in most regular season games played without a playoff appearance (641 games) happily broke that streak when the Warriors clinched a postseason berth in the final game of the season.

2005-2006 Season Summary

In his ninth NBA season, Adonal found himself as one of the veteran leaders on the team. He is one of just three players on the Warriors roster ages 30 or older (along with Calbert Chaney and Derek Fisher). Adonal started a career-high 72 games for the Warriors, averaging 23.7 minutes per game. Adonal led the team in blocks for the second year in a row (averaging 1.6 per game) and reached a milestone in the process. Already the Warriorsâ all-time leading shotblocker, Adonal picked up his 1,000th block on Dec. 7 2005 against the Phoenix Suns.

2004-2005 Season Summary

With changes around the Warriors front office, Adonal reassured the Warriors organization as well as as fans around the Bay Area that if he were to leave the Warriors, it wouldn't be on his own terms. During the offseason, Adonal signed a 7-year, $41 million contract with the Warriors, assuring him that he would be part of the Warriors' plans for years to come. He started in 78 games (50 starts) for the Warriors and was the team leader in rebounds 15 times. He swatted 159 shots in 04-05, putting him past Joe Barry Carrol and became the Warriors' all-time leading shot blocker. Adonal finished in the top 10 in blocks per game for the third time in five years, ranking 10th with 2.04 BPG. He also ranked third in blocks for 48 minutes (4.49).

2003-2004 Season Summary

Coming off his 'healthiest' season, Adonal would begin the 2003-04 campaign on the injured list. Having overcome two offseason knee surgeries, Adonal played in just 44 games, matching his career low for a season. He struggled all year, averaging just 1.3 points and 13.0 minutes per game. Adonal ended the year on a strong note, however, as he played a career high 43 minutes on April 9 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that game, he also matched his career high with 20 points.

2002-2003 Season Summary

Adonal Foyle's sixth season was also his healthiest. Foyle played in all 82 games for the first time in his career, averaging 21.9 minutes per game. He ranked 4th in the league in blocks (205), 5th in blocks per game (2.5) and 1st in blocks per 48 minutes (5.51).

He ranked among the league's top ten in blocked shots for the third-consecutive season - becoming the first player in Warriors history to do so. Foyle's 205 swats also made him the first Warrior to reach the 200-block mark in 13 years. Foyle's best game of his career may have come on March 11 against Phoenix, where he not only set new career highs in four major categories - including a 20-rebound performance that eclipsed his old mark of 17 - he also posted a season-high 16 points, three assists, two steals and four blocks.

2001-2002 Season Summary

Adonal played in a career-high 79 games, including 36 starts. Averaging 18.8 minutes per game, he ranked 8th in blocked shots. His 168 blocks put him in the top ten among league shot blockers - the first Warrior to achieve that feat since Manute Bol in the 1988-89 and 1989-90 seasons.

Adonal also established new career single-season highs in blocks, games, minutes (1,485), free throws (37) steals (36).

2000-2001 Season Summary

Adonal Foyle really came into his own during the 2000-2001 season. He averaged career-high figures in points (5.9), rebounds (7), blocks (2.69) and minutes (25.1). Missing 24 games as a result of a foot injury, he appeared in 58 games with 37 starts.

1999-2000 Season

In his third year with Golden State, Adonal Foyle appeared in 76 games, a team-high, with 59 starts. He averaged then-career-high figures with 5.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.79 blocks and 21.8 minutes. He recorded 4 double-doubles, including 18 points with 13 rebounds against Denver (4/14/00), and 11 points with 15 rebounds vs. Toronto (11/27/99). Adonal led the team and ranked 15th in the NBA with 1.79 blocks per game.

1998-1999 Season

Adonal only appeared in 44 regular season games as a result of injury. He averaged 2.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.98 blocks in 14 minutes.

1997-1998 Season

During his rookie year Adonal Foyle averaged 3.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.9 minutes in 55 games. He started one contest, vs. Portland (2/17/98), and scored in double figures twice. He registered four blocked shots vs. Phoenix (1/20/98), and had multiple blocked shots on 15 occasions.
