'I feel like a caged animal!' Chris Brown 'is scared straight in jail as he pursues civil settlement to avoid prison'

By Daily Mail Reporter

Chris Brown is reported to be suffering in solitary confinement.

The 24-year-old is currently incarcerated until he goes to trial on April 23 for an assault case from last year in Washington D.C.

And the rapper, according to a report by TMZ, has already declared his time behind bars as 'the worst experience' of his life and has even vowed to make sure he never ends up in this position again.

A source, who is reported to have spoken with Brown on the phone, told TMZ that the Fine China singer feels like 'a caged animal' even going so far as to describe his stay as 'the worst experience of my life.'

The troubled star is even said to be attempting to use his time behind bars productively, by writing music and working out.

The same source claims that Brown vowed over the phone to 'never f**** up again.'

Meanwhile, Brown is allegedly negotiating a financial settlement with the man he reportedly attacked in the hopes of avoiding a prison sentence.

According to TMZ, the young man's lawyer Mark Geragos is currently in talks with the man's lawyer.

Chris is awaiting trial for allegedly breaking the man's nose during an altercation in Washington D.C. last year.

If a settlement is reached, the criminal case would likely be dropped, reports TMZ, and prosecutors are apparently aware of negotiations.

According to the website, the two parties may have already reached an agreement, but if not it will be a matter of days before they do.

The singer is currently being held at the notorious Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles.

Chris is being held in solitary confinement to protect him from other inmates, so he will spend his hours in the small space, which has a basic bed frame, a small sink and a filthy toilet.

With paint chipping off the wall and graffiti etched into the walls by previous inmates, images show the the filthy conditions Chris will be left alone in until he faces the judge again on April 23.

According to TMZ, the singer will be allowed to work out in his cell or read library books to keep himself occupied.

Chris had been under court orders to remain in treatment since November, one month after he was arrested in Washington, D.C., after a man accused him of punching him in a confrontation outside a hotel.

That case remains pending, and Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin has not yet scheduled a probation violation hearing to address whether he would penalize the singer for the arrest.

The R'n'B singer's probation was revoked in December, but a prosecutor's request in February to send the troubled star to jail was not made.

The judge said Chris was doing well in rehab after a probation officer gave him a good report at his last court hearing on February 28.

He still has 750 hours of community service to complete.

The Loyal singer has done little to turn around his image since his 2009 physical abuse of Rihanna. He pleaded guilty to hitting her just before the Grammy Awards and was told to not violate his probation.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has moved on with singer Drake, who she was spotted holding hands with days ago.

Brown's last girlfriend Karrueche Tran was seen on Saturday in LA wearing a pretty white dress. The pair have split since she was seen holding his hand as he entered an LA court on February 3.

Aaah this gets better. An anonymous source, who Chris Brown used one of his few privileges to talk to, then ratted him out to TMZ, and Daily Mail is re-reporting it with full-faith. Awesome reporting.

Chris Brown needs to serve a LOT longer than a single month. He has systematically beaten, harassed, insulted, and harmed people. He has broken and stolen private property. Since he thinks of himself as a 'gangsta' he should stop whining like a baby and take his jail time like a man...or a 'gangsta'. You are where you belong, Chris Brown, and hope you stay a longgggg time.

enough of letting people buy their way out of repercussions. He committed crimes. If we are going to price tag crimes then fine...offer that option up to everyone. Otherwise...as the saying goes...commit the crime, do the time.
