Just a few hours earlier she proudly announced that she and fiancé Kanye West are finally appearing on the cover of U.S. Vogue magazine.

And Kim Kardashian did little to disguise her delight as she headed out on a shopping trip on Friday.

The 33-year-old reality star and businesswoman ensured she selected an appropriately eye-catching dress for the occasion, showing off her curvaceous figure in a plunging pale maxi.

The textured summer dress also featured a thigh high split at the front and was teamed with a pair of nude high heeled sandals.

And the star ensured her face was as heavily made up as usual with dark eyeshadow, glossy nude lipstick and loosely styled hair.

Kim was without her fiancé Kanye West during her expedition to the camera store which appeared to be filmed for her reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

She enjoyed browsing in the store and spent some time rifling through photo albums - perhaps to display her pictures of eight-month-old daughter North.

At one point she held up a packet of scrapbook glue runners showing off her crafty side.

Earlier on Friday, a thrilled Kim tweeted that her appearance was a 'dream come true' when the cover for the April edition of the magazine was released on the magazine's website.

'This is such a dream come true!!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! O M GGGGGG!!! I can't even breath!' (sic) she tweeted.

Kanye simply added on his Twitter page: 'Thank you' with a link to the cover on the Vogue website.

For the cover shot, Kim's hair is pulled into a chic chignon teamed with smoky eye make-up and nude lipstick.

Her Lorraine Schwartz designed 15-carat diamond engagement ring is her only piece of jewellery.

The photographs were taken by famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz, who has captured everybody from Queen Elizabeth II to John Lennon, Barack Obama and Lady Gaga.

The cover line introduces the piece as: 'Kim & Kanye Their fashionable life and surreal times. #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple.'

It is apparently the first time a hashtag has been used on the Vogue cover and refers to Kim's huge social media presence - she has more than 20 million Twitter followers.

An accompanying video on Vogue's website shows Kim cradling the couple's eight month old baby daughter North as Kanye looks on adoringly.

Kimmy appeals to men because she's always dressed in a provocative manner, usually by wearing short skirts/dresses where she shows off her legs. Her body is not nice, unless you consider short bodies with short legs attractive. Her bum reaches the floor, almost, her jugs are made with silicon. She has a pretty face, however we have never seen her real face as she doesn't show it without make-up and also her face is so different than the one we saw when she was a teen. Even back then it was still plastered with make-up. She doesn't have beauty but she is dedicated to create with the clothes, attitude an aura of beauty. It might work with her fans, it doesn't work with everyone.
