Famke Janssen was definitely in the mood for summer when she stepped out in New York on Thursday.

The actress sported a flirty blue frock, adorned with red roses which popped against the darker hue.

A playful hemline sitting just above the knee meant the 48-year-old's slim pins were on full display.

With pooch and pot-plant in tow, Famke Janssen shone on the streets of New York in a summery blue and red dress which highlighted her svelte stems

Running errands around the trendy Soho neighbourhood Famke opted for comfortable maroon flats so she could get her jobs done at a quick pace.

Accompanied by her adorable Boston Terrier dog named Licorice, the X-Men actress looked like she'd just stepped off a high-fashion photoshoot as opposed to doing chores.

Famke and her pet pooch are often spotted on the streets of New York and make for quite a cute pair.

Perhaps the Dutch native was off to decorate her digs as she was also carrying an orchid in a pot plant.

The star has just signed on to reprise her role in the squeal to Taken, aptly named Taken 3, playing Liam Neeson's wife.

She also made a brief cameo playing her character Jean Grey in X-Men: Days of Future Past, despite denying she wouldn't.

Speaking about the role the former fashion model recently told Super Hero Hype she was sworn to secrecy about the brief appearance but was uncomfortable lying about it.

'I’m a really good liar it turns out. I was sworn to secrecy that’s all. I’m not really keen on lying and I have a lot of problem with people who come into my life and lie, but if I’m forced to do it, it does not come easy,' she said.
