Twitter goes crazy over NBC bleeping out harmless words during Frances McDormand's best actress acceptance speech at Golden Globes
Frances McDormand won the best actress Golden Globe Sunday night in LA for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
But during her acceptance speech, NBC bleeped out several of her words even though they were not profanities.
That led people to take to Twitter to wonder why.
Puzzle: NBC bleeped out several non-offensive words during Frances McDormand's acceptance speech after winning best actress at the Golden Globes in LA Sunday night
The actress, who won an Oscar for the 1996 movie Fargo, began her speech by offering to but tequila for each of her fellow nominees at the bar at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
McDormand, 60, then described how she was 's***e' at throwing a baseball before describing how she is able to throw a Molotov Cocktail from one building to another across a street.
However, while the word 'sh**e' was aired on the live telecast, the phrase Molotov Cocktail was bizarrely beeped out by NBC.

A little later she thanked Fox searchlight for distributing her movie.
But once again the censor was a little quick with the button and the audience at home heard 'beep' Searchlight instead.
The network also beeped out the word shift when she spoke about a Tectonic shift in the Hollywood industry's power structure.
Hang on: Twitter was quick to criticize NBC wondering why their censor was so trigger happy with McDormand
In taking home the best actress in a movie award, McDormand beat out Jessica Chastain (Molly's Game), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Meryl Streep (The Post) and Michelle Williams (All the Money in the World).
She praised the Times Up and Me Too movements that made their presence very felt at this year's Golden Globes.
'Some of you may know, I keep my politics private, but it was really great to be in this room tonight,' she said.
'Trust me, the women in this room tonight are not here for the food. We are here for the work.'
