Tess Daly made a rare appearance with husband Vernon Kay on Wednesday, as they walked the red carpet together for a Sir Bruce Forsyth tribute event.

The 48-year-old Strictly host put on a loved-up display with her husband of 14 years as they made their arrival at the London Palladium for the TV special on Wednesday.

Tess stunned in a black strapless gown as she posed with Vernon, who was looking sharp in a fitted grey suit.

Tess - who co-hosted Strictly with the late Sir Bruce for 11 series - looked stunning in her Suzanne Neville gown, which featured a diamante-studded bodice leading into a flowing skirt.

The stunning presenter looked beaming as she arrived at the showcase on her husband's arm, teaming her look with several pieces of diamond jewellery.

Tess styled her blonde tresses into a voluminous half-up half-down hairdo, and accentuated her flawless complexion with a gorgeous smoky eye and nude lip.

Tess looked happier than ever as she made her arrival with Vernon, following the revelation that she stills views their marriage as a 'work in progress' following his 2010 sexting scandal.

Speaking in December, she told The Times: 'All marriages have their moments. Marriage is a work in progress. Vernon and I are just people, at the end of the day.'

Vernon was famously forced to make a public apology to his wife Tess on BBC Radio 1 back in 2010 after a set of saucy messages to glamour model Rhian Sugden emerged.

The father-of-two went on to promise live on air that he would no longer contact Rhian or the four other women he had been caught messaging at the time.

It was then revealed the pair had got back in touch in 2015 with Vernon sending hundreds of texts asking to 'reconnect' with the model.

Stars came out in force to celebrate the late Sir Bruce in a television special event, that is set to be broadcast at a later date.

As well as Tess, numerous former Strictly Come Dancing stars were seen walking the red carpet, as well as judges Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell.

Last month, Sir Bruce's wife, Lady Wilnelia, spoke about her late husband in her first interview since his death on This Morning.

She said: 'I was so lucky to be married to him for 34 years. It was a very happy marriage.

'He retired from Strictly, and he didn’t manage to do the last show; the Christmas show. He was planning to do some travelling and continuing and being in showbiz somehow. He wanted to be with his family.'
