The synopsis for the third series reads: 'It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up,' revealed Netflix's press release about the upcoming season.
'School's out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they'll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart.'

Recently, Charlie teased the upcoming season as he said filming scenes for season three was 'super nostalgic' because they shot at the same studio with the same sets.
He told Another Mag in April: 'Filming season three was great. It’s coming out in the summer. It was super nostalgic shooting this time. We shot in the same studio, with the same sets, and you’re back with the same people, where it all started.'
The actor also revealed working on Stranger Things has brought him closer to his girlfriend and co-star Natalie Dyer because they can share their 'insecurities'.
