The proposal

The development proposal for a foundry expansion by Bradken Resources Pty Ltd will be situated at Kilburn.

Bradken Resources has been operating a foundry at Cromwell Road, Kilburn since 1949 and is a major supplier of metal products to the mining industry.

The company proposes expanding its operations to meet the demands from mining growth in the state as well as other heavy engineering projects.

The proposal comprises:

Upgrade of existing buildings and equipment, including a new melting furnace and expanded heat treatment.
