The race is on! Reggie N Bollie, Louisa Johnson and Che Chesterman are revealed as The X Factor's 2015 finalists

This year's The X Factor has been as dramatic as ever.

And this Sunday's semi-final results show was typically eventful after Simon Cowell allowed the dreaded results to go to deadlock leading to the departure of Lauren Murray.

The music mogul's decision means that the 2015 X Factor finalists are Che Chesterman, Reggie N Bollie and Louisa Johnson who will be battling it out to be crowned the show's winner before releasing a single aiming to be Christmas number one.

Che Chesterman's fate hung in the balance on Saturday evening, after he was left in the bottom two opposite Lauren, who was eventually booted out of the competition.

The 19-year-old hopeful, who was previously working as a supermarket shelf stacker, caught the eye of both the judges and public from his very first audition when he belted out Jessie J's 2011 hit Who You Are before he was selected for Nick Grimshaw's Boys category.

Throughout the show, Che has consistently delivered although he landed in the bottom two once before although the judges opted to save him above Anton Stephans who was sent home.

The show's youngest contestant, 17-year-old Louisa Johnson has shot straight to the top as she continually tops her performances week after week.

Louisa, who is being mentored by Rita Ora, has been showing off a voice far more mature than her young years - as proved by her Saturday night performance.

Her second song of the night was James Brown's 1966 hit It`s A Man's Man's World Lyrics and she looked fantastic in a chic white trouser suit - an androgynous nod to the title of the track.

The blonde teen, who has never been in the bottom two, received a standing ovation for the song after which Cheryl told her: 'Now you're just showing off.. You left everything on that stage and I have got to see you next week in that final.'

Louisa stands as the bookies favourite, with stunning odds of 1/6 - meaning she could reign victorious after next week's show and wind up battling for Christmas number one.
