9 months in 1,000 photographs: Stop motion video creates a detailed record of one woman's journey through pregnancy

For some women, the idea of being having to pose for hundreds of photos while pregnant is not especially tempting.

But not for Osher Grencel, whose husband Tomer took more than 1000 photos throughout her pregnancy.

Expecting her first child, Tomer had the idea of documenting the pregnancy by using the photos in a stop-motion video.

The project, documenting the pregnancy of Osher Grencel starts at the very beginning of her pregnancy

In months two (left) and month three (right) we can see the baby bump begin to grow

The scan at month 4 revealed that Tomer and Osher were expecting a girl

Over the next 9 months, he took 1000 photographs at different points and with different concepts.

After his daughter Emma entered the world, he spent a month combining the images into a single stop-motion animation that tells the story of Emma’s journey from the womb into the world.

The video has proved hugely popular, with nearly 300,000 views on Youtube.

The project has proved so successful that Tomer has continued the photography project in a new blog called babyRules.me.

In months five (left) and month six (right) the baby bump is really starting to grow in size

In one of the funny sequences in the video, Osher is seen in a dream sequence, featuring a well known chocolate spread falling from the trees

In months 7 (left) and 8 (right) the baby bump is now getting very big indeed

My, haven't you grown? Through the magic of video editing, Osher gets to stand next to herself and compare month 1 of her pregnant body with month 8

Uh-oh, Osher's water have broken, and its time for husband Tomer to take her to hospital

And here she is, baby Emma makes her entrance to delighted parents

Hasn't this been done before getting a little bit over it and it would have been better to skip the bucket puking scene. Having said that thought loved the amazing ultra sound pics and the end result which was a beautiful healthy baby girl.

It is so lovely to see a father who is involved with everything related to his future child. I know a lot of parents who were not very interested when their wifes were pregnants and they are not very interested in their kids lives
