Hilary Duff cradles her daughter Banks while stepping out in LA... after 'night at the hospital' because the seven-month-old wasn't feeling well

Hilary Duff was spotted cradling her seven-month-old daughter Banks while out and about in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 31-year-old former child star slipped into a flowing striped blouse with a pair of camouflage trousers and yellow sunglasses.

She wrote that day: 'I actually have Banks’ vomit in my hair and I may or may not have the energy to bathe after a day with a sick baby and a night at the hospital'.

Hilary made the revelation on her Insta Stories alongside a bleary selfie and the line: 'All I want to do is watch handmaids ughhhhhh'.

The same day, she posted a black and white snap to her main Instagram page with Banks, writing: 'Right home to a sick baby'.

Banks is Hilary's daughter by her fiance Matthew Koma, a singer and producer she has been with for nearly two and a half years.

Hilary was married to Mike Comrie from 2010 to 2014, and the pair continue to be amicable co-parents to their seven-year-old son Luca.

Last summer the fashion world went mad for pool slides in all their forms and this year was no different.

From Adidas to Saint Laurent - and how can we forget Rihanna's Fenty x Puma sell-out fur offering - fashion has officially certified pool slides as the shoe du jour and our feet are ecstatic about it.

The most recent champion of the trend? Hilary Duff. Here she is in a striped top and camo cargo pants with Gucci pool slides. They aren't cheap at $295 but if you're keen to copy, click right to buy a similar pair over at Nordstrom.

It emerged last Wednesday that Molly Bernard, one of Hilary's co-stars on current TV Land show Younger, is godmother to baby Banks.

Molly gushed to People magazine: 'I’m her godmother, which is great!' adding: 'After [Banks] was born, I was like: "Oh, does she have a godmother?"'

Hilary's response to that question was to point to Molly, who has been appearing on Younger with her since the show aired its first season in 2015.

The mother of two caused a sensation last year when she revealed that after giving birth to Banks, she made part of her placenta into a smoothie and drank it.

She appeared on the Informed Pregnancy podcast and dished about her at-home water birth and her unorthodox way of handling her pregnancy.

'I haven't had a smoothie that delightful since I was like 10-years-old; it was calorie-filled with juice and fruit and everything delicious.'

Luca and Matt had to be watchful in the kitchen, Hilary revealed, since some of the placenta was preserved in cubes and kept in the fridge.
