'She be kicking my a**': Vanessa Hudgens praises Jennifer Lopez's running skills after filming athletic scene for new movie Second Act

Vanessa Hudgens is known for her dedication to the practice of yoga.

And while she is certainly fit, the actress has given props to her costar Jennifer Lopez for 'kicking her a**' while filming a recent running scene for their upcoming film Second Act in New York.

The 28-year-old shared a picture of her and the 48-year-old jogging on set with the caption: 'We be runnin (sic) and she be kicking my a**'.

She followed her humorous quip with 'Y'all @jlo is an amazing runner' and added 'Love her foreverrr (sic)'.

Jennifer, who is also a producer on the new release, appeared to be having a ball on set with former High School Musical star Vanessa, as they ran alongside a river in the city together on Monday.

Mother-of-two Jennifer teamed her form-fitting leggings with a pink sweatshirt and threw a navy quilted gilet over her ensemble. She sported a blue beanie hat on her head and left her tresses down past her shoulders in a straightened style.

Sporting gloves on her hands, the vocal talent was beaming from ear-to-ear, as she ran alongside Vanessa in front of the cameras. Although the exercise proved to provide her with some difficulty on the wardrobe front, as the beauty was seen pulling up her leggings over her pert posterior.

Vanessa, meanwhile, cut a glamorous figure despite her casual attire as she paried together a grey hoodie with blue leggings and a bronzed gilet. She had her brunette locks in a ponytail and sported a slick of dark berry lipstick across her lips.

The girls appeared to be in competition, as Vanessa cheekily edged in front of Jennifer, with the The World of Dance judge pulling out all the stops to keep up with her younger co-star.

Later the two changed their costumes for yet more gym gear, as they embarked on filming yet another jogging scene for the flick.

Second Act is an upcoming romantic comedy that will see Lopez take on the character of Maya, a big-box store employee who reinvents her life and her lifestyle in the hope of proving to Madison Avenue that street smarts can be as valuable as a college degree.

Along with Vanessa, the film also stars Milo Ventimiglia, who will play Jennifer's onscreen long-term boyfriend, and Leah Remini, who plays her best friend.

Jennifer was seen filming scenes alongside Remini, where she appeared to take a tumble on a patio in the park - it's not known whether the fall was for the cameras, although more than likely, but the girls appeared to take it in good humour.

While a smartly-clad Remini lay on her back on the floor, Jennifer was seen laughing at her pal while reaching out her arms to help her back up.

Sporting a burgundy tailored coat with a pencil skirt underneath, Jennifer showcased her slender pins in a pair of court stiletto heels.

Her close friendship with Remini - she and Jennifer are best pals off screen - shone through as the women set to work on their scenes for the movie, set for a 2018 release.

Second Act is directed by Peter Segal, who is best know for his work on 50 First Dates, starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.

Jennifer's appearance on set comes as she was recently named the new face of fashion brand Guess.

The Shades of Blue star shared her first campaign image with fans on Instagram and no doubt set pulses racing as she posed in a scanty pair of checked shorts and a plunging white shirt tied that together at the waist and teased a look at her bust underneath.

Her lengthy legs were on full display as she posed with one bent while resting her arm on her knee.

Jennifer oozed glamour thanks to her voluminous locks and white stiletto heels and made sure to draw attention to her svelte waist with a thick leather belt.

Along with her latest campaign, Lopez has been enjoying some family time away from set with her beau Alex Rodriguez and their children. She shares twins Max and Emme, nine, with ex-beau Marc Anthony, while A-Rod is father to Natasha, 13, and Ella, aged nine.

They have been spending time in the Hamptons neighborhood of Long Island and were seen shopping together at Ralph Lauren. And marking their time together, Jennifer shared a steamy selfie, where her chest was on display, as she cuddled up to A-Rod.
