New York Times Attacks President Bush’s Faith
October 21, 2004 – The cover story in the Sunday New York Times was headlined: “Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush,” was an unwarranted attack on the President’s faith, according to Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, chairman of Traditional Values Coalition.
In a press release issued on October 18, Rev. Sheldon noted: “This is a vicious, last-minute attack on the President and all faith-filled citizens. America was founded by people of faith and, if you believe George Washington, can be successful only as long as people of faith are its citizens.”
